With more than 10.000 visitors BERLINER LISTE ended on Sunday, September 22nd, 2013. Art lovers, gallery owners and collectors surged into Kraftwerk Berlin to discover 131 international galleries, project groups and individual artists from 30 countries over an area of more than 2.500 square metres.
With this in mind we are looking forward to KÖLNER LISTE from April 10th to 13rd, 2014 and the 11th BERLINER LISTE that will take place during Berlin Art Week from September 18th to 21st, 2014.
Together with the Berlin Art Week, the BERLINER LISTE thus strived to prove Berlin as an exciting and lucrative art market. We are especially glad about a very good press media echo that confirmed curator Dr. Peter Funken and the Photography Section as excellent innovations.
Within the framework of Berlin Art Week, the BERLINER LISTE stands for emerging artists that offer their work at (still) moderate prices, but could be shooting stars of the art scene in the near future.
The spectrum of exhibited art ranged from contemporary painting, sculpture, drawings and graphics to installations, video art and performance. A special focus is given this year for the first time on photography that looks back on a long tradition in Berlin and becomes more and more important as a contemporary and modern medium in art.
At BERLINER LISTE, emerging galleries, artists and project spaces exhibit their work at fair prices. In the context of the new photography section, specialised galleries present the photographs of exiting artists in an exposed position.
Curator of BERLINER LISTE 2014 will be Dr. Peter Funken again, who will support the fair with his expertise in ensuring an excellent selection of the exhibited works.
We cordially invite international galleries, project spaces and artists to apply for BERLINER LISTE 2014 and for KÖLNER LISTE 2014 to present their work to a wide and interested audience in art.
“The BERLINER LISTE is an essential component of Berlin’s arty autumn and should not be left off the list of art fairs to visit this weekend”.
“The BERLINER LISTE is an ‘unplugged’ art exhibition, without stuffy academic filtering. Anyone looking for true art discoveries really should drop into the MUMA power station in Berlin Mitte.”
Kunstzeitung 2012, September
“In its 9th year, satellite exhibition the Berliner Liste proves this time to be less brash and indeed mature enough for acceptance into the circle of art week fairs.”
Berliner Zeitung, 2012/09/15
“The show is a serious, confidently colourful exhibition which avoids arrogance. Of course, here as anywhere else there are some not so excellent works and anomalies – but above all, there is truly convincing art.”
“The 9th annual Berliner Liste satellite fair has proven its maturity. Event organisers have used the historic 7000 sqm space exhaustively. Under the new directorship, 124 exhibitors from 26 countries are offered a stage to sell their art, with a focus on Berlin works.”
